FUMC wants to make sure that you can stay connected to other church members during this time of social distancing. We are setting up a program to match Tech Angels to Tech Rookies to help those with tech needs get connected to our church family.

Tech Angels are people (of all ages) who are knowledgeable about computers and can work one-on-one with a FUMC member who is having trouble connecting to Zoom or watching the FUMC streaming services on YouTube. You don’t have to make a living working with computers to be a Tech Angel, just someone who understands how things work well enough to help someone who is having tech issues. You will be assigned a Tech Rookie to contact by phone. You’ll need to assess what’s going on and figure out what is needed to get things working. We have resources to help you out along the way. Need more info or feel like you want to just jump in and get started right away? Email Ann at ann@knitting.email.

Tech Rookies are people (of all ages) who are having trouble getting connected to Zoom or watching the FUMC streaming services on YouTube. You might need advice on what technology needs to be purchased or you might have other tech questions. To maintain social distancing, Tech Angels will be working with you via phone calls. If you’d like to get connected to a Tech Angel, email Ann at ann@knitting.email or call 765-583-3061.
