Klondike Kids Club is a safe and nurturing after school homework club. This collaboration between First United Methodist Church of West Lafayette, Klondike Elementary School and Point West Mobile Home Community, provides tutoring in reading, language arts, and math to 30 students, many of whom are English language learners.

Klondike Kids Club meets Monday through Thursday from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. It follows the Tippecanoe School Corporation calendar. On Monday’s and Wednesday’s, grades 4-5 meet, and on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, grades K-3 meet. If school is canceled, so is Kids Club.

Support Klondike Kids Club

Volunteers aged 16 years and over are welcome, as are adults of any age. A background check is provided at no cost to volunteers. What are the qualifications for a volunteer? An open heart, a willingness to spread kindness, the ability to read, and a basic knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Without volunteers, there is no Klondike Kids Club.

If you have questions or wish to volunteer, please contact Ronda Kroeschen at rkroeschen@fumcwl.org or (765) 743-1285.
