We welcome college students and hope they will make First Methodist in West Lafayette their “home” church while they are in school.

We’ll be glad to pick you up for Sunday mornings and even provide lunch at 12:15 PM, just after the last service. Our college members also are involved with young adult study groups at 9:45 AM on Sundays and 6:00 PM on Wednesdays. Here’s a link with more details about programs at First Methodist as well as at the Wesley Foundation Student Center, 435 W. State St., across from the Purdue Memorial Union. Also look for “Wesley” on Facebook under Purdue groups or on the web at http://www.wesleyfoundation.org.

Contact Revs. Lana and Glen Robyne, pastors at Wesley and First United Methodist Church, at lrobyne@fumcwl.org or grobyne@fumcwl.org.

Scholarships

In general, scholarship applications are due by midnight on the first Friday in April each year.

If you are a student pursuing a four-year degree at Purdue and have been active in Wesley Foundation or First United Methodist Church, please consider applying for a Patterson Scholarship.

If you are going to pursue a course of study which will lead to a profession of full-time Christian work, you should apply for a Straszheim Scholarship.

Please fill out the forms using Adobe Reader (we recommend opting out of McAfee, Ask!, or whatever they are pushing now) and email them to foundation (at symbol) fumcwl (period) org.
