Dear First Church Family,
I am excited to share some wonderful news with you about a recent addition to our Family Ministry Team. Diane Dahlgren, an experienced educator with a passion for organization and community engagement, has graciously stepped forward to lend her expertise to our team. In our recent conversation, Diane expressed her eagerness to contribute to the planning, organization, and implementation of learning opportunities within our church community.
Diane’s skill set perfectly complements the existing talents within our team. She will focus on creating and disseminating information to families about upcoming events, checking in with team members on Sunday school and children’s church plans, and assisting in the preparation of weekly lessons and seasonal curriculum. Diane is committed to dedicating 10-15 hours per week to this important role, filling the gap left by other team members who have moved on.
It’s essential to note that while Diane’s involvement is an exciting step forward, it serves as a bridge to address immediate needs and is not a long-term solution. As we continue our search for a comprehensive staff leader, Diane’s contributions will play a vital role in maintaining organization and planning. However, we still rely on the support of our First Church members to step forward, volunteer, and actively participate in class leadership, supervision, and building meaningful relationships with our young people.
