We are nearing the completion of our sanctuary and narthex renovations—and we’re marking the moment with three consecutive Sundays of celebration! From August 24 through September 7, we’ll gather for one worship service each Sunday at 11:00 AM, with special guests, music, and moments of gratitude.

Sunday, August 24
We begin our celebrations by giving thanks for our newly renovated spaces with a joyful day of worship and community. We’re honored to welcome Heart & Soul, Purdue’s inspirational gospel choir, for a special performance during worship.
• 10:00 AM – Hospitality Hour in the Narthex
• 11:00 AM – Worship Service with Heart & Soul in the renovated Sanctuary
• Time TBD – All-Church Picnic at Wea Creek Orchard

Sunday, August 31
We continue the festivities with Rev. Kimberly King, Associate District Superintendent of the West Central Plains District, as our guest preacher. Worship will feature a special Celebrate Band comprised of First Church musicians and friends from the community.

Sunday, September 7
Our final celebration welcomes Rev. David Meredith, Board Chair of the Reconciling Ministries Network, who is helping lead our denomination into a new era of inclusion and hope. Our Sanctuary Choir will sing, and we will gather around the table for Holy Communion.
