Thanks to coordination by Pastor Duane and Ronda Kroeschen, Klondike Kids Club will be moving forward into the next year in order to continue blessing the students of Klondike Elementary under the leadership of co-directors Maria Ansari and Carolyn Johnson with administrative and communication support from FUMC Family Ministry’s Talitha Huber.
Klondike Kids Club will continue to support the afterschool academic and social development of students K-5 who attend Klondike and are residents of the Point West neighborhood. Carolyn Johnson will provide onsite direction for the K-3rd club on Mondays and Wednesdays, while Maria Ansari will provide onsite direction for the 4-5th grade club on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Local community members and students will provide hands-on tutoring and mentoring throughout the academic year.
Volunteers from the congregation are, as always, welcome participants in this community outreach, and those interested are welcome to reach out to Talitha Huber at thuber@fumcwl.org or to keep an eye out for further communication as she liaises with this wonderful ministry!
