Come be inspired at a vibrant Worship Workshop with Rev. Mary Dicken on Saturday, August 29! Coffee and refreshments begin at 8:30 AM, followed by the workshop from 9:00-11:00 AM.

Together, we’ll explore: What is worship, and why do we do what we do?

Who should come? Everyone! Whether you sing in the choir, ring bells, serve as a liturgist, offer special music, acolyte, greet, work with the Tech Team—or simply care about meaningful worship—there is a place for you.

Join us as we explore how all of us can help make worship at First Church more engaging, welcoming, and spiritually alive!

About the Speaker

The Rev. Mary Dicken is an ordained deacon in the Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church and has served congregations in Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee for more than 20 years. A lifelong musician and professional harpist, Mary has performed with orchestras throughout Indiana and beyond, including the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Opera, Evansville Philharmonic, and Owensboro Symphony. She holds music degrees from Miami University and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and completed her theological studies at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. Mary brings together her passions for worship, music, faithful reflection, and helping people connect the life of the Church with the needs of the wider community.
