At First Church, our goal of Adult Education is to provide a dynamic program of small group classes that not only strengthens, inspires, and sustains our current church membership but also encourages and welcomes newcomers to join us! We learn with open minds and hearts to enrich our faith and lives through Christ.

Book Discussion
Date: Sunday, August 16, 2026
Time: 10:00-10:50 AM
Location: First Church, Activity Center
On Sunday, August 16, Meryl Pentchev will lead a discussion of the book “If There is No God…” by Dennis Prager. The book covers discussions with college students about the role of faith in society. Examples of questions posed by students include:
- Are Good and Evil a matter of personal opinion?
- Does faith need reason?
- How can values come from God if I don’t believe in God? Why does it have to be Biblical values – why can’t it just be human values?
All are welcome to join. Please direct questions to Diana Hoke hokediana@gmail.com.
