Annual United Methodist Conference 2023 Summary

On June 8th 2023, the Indiana Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church began with worship. Resident Bishop of the Indiana Conference Julius C. It’s been a great summer of hosting the Freedom School at First Church and we invite all parents/guardians, church and community members to our culminating event on Friday, July 21 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Freedom School National Day of Action – July 19

Join us on Wednesday, July 19 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm for National Day of Social Action and learn about how Freedom Schools stand against gun violence. Be sure to wear orange in support of this year’s theme “health, hope, and healing”. Klondike Kids Club Report 2022-2023 Report

This year KKC served 15 families with a total of 23 children enrolled. Three of those children deal with learning difficulties requiring one-on-one tutoring. For the first time, children who began the program in kindergarten are now fifth graders preparing to enter middle school in the fall.
