In February 2026, First United Methodist Church of West Lafayette (First Church) shared the exciting news that we are creating a new website to better serve our congregation and community. Made possible through a Resource Grant from the Center for Congregations, this project reflects a shared commitment to strengthening how we connect, communicate, and welcome others into the life of First Church.
We are excited to share an update on the progress of our new website project and the thoughtful work happening behind the scenes as of July 2026.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our website survey and shared feedback with Katelyn from SmallBox during her visit to First Church in May 2026. Your input has been invaluable as we work to create a website that better reflects who we are as a church and serves both our congregation and the community.
Since then, First Church, SmallBox, and Evergreen Strategic Communications have been meeting regularly to translate your feedback and our ministry goals into the foundation for the new website. Together, we have approved the site’s creative direction, including a visual mood board that reflects a clean, elevated, and welcoming look while remaining true to First Church’s identity and brand.
SmallBox has also been developing the site’s structure, including the sitemap and an initial homepage framework. Throughout the summer, we will continue building out page layouts and content to bring the new website to life.
We are excited about the progress being made and are on track to launch the new website this fall. Thank you for your continued support, feedback, and prayers throughout this important project.
