Hello everyone,
You may or may not know that our Care & Nurture Committee—comprising Ginny Dienhart, Nancella Dobbins, Carol Smith, and Letty Mitchell—is working steadily to ensure that our absent members feel remembered, valued, and wished well. We send cards, make phone calls, and conduct home visits to keep our dear ones connected. Denny Frank also makes faithful visits, and it all makes a difference!
Some of our members cannot attend due to health reasons, some are serving in the military, and others are away at college. We’re still thinking of them, and we want to ensure they know it. If you know of a member we might have missed, please let one of us or Ronda Kroeschen (rkroeschen@fumcwl.org) know their contact information, and we’ll be sure to reach out.
We’ve recently decided to expand our card ministry to include college students, and we need addresses for them. If you have a student in your family or know of one who would appreciate a card, please forward the address to Ronda, who will pass it along to us. We’ll keep our letter carriers busy!
We also care deeply about everyone who attends Sunday services, and we serve as door greeters to make sure everyone feels welcome. We’d love for more of you to take a turn at greeting. It’s enjoyable, it shares the outreach, and it keeps us all fresh when we can trade off. Please let Carol know if you’d like to help at the 9:00 AM service, and Nan if you’d like to help at 11:00 AM. We are so much stronger when we pool our time and energy. Thanks for helping where you can!
