If you are feeling overwhelmed, this two-part Sunday School class might help.
“Uncertainty is like a rising — and maybe flooding — tide. People are exhausted and uneasy,” says Diana Butler Bass, an award-winning author, popular speaker, inspiring preacher, and one of America’s most trusted commentators on religion and contemporary spirituality. Calling upon the story of Job, she helps us to understand this moment with “radical amazement.”
On November 10, an audio recording of her sermon titled The Wonder Cure combined with a video of recently released NASA photos of 25 never-before-seen space images from the Chandra X-Ray Observatory will be the focus of the class.
As Bass says of her message, “It is somewhat different and full of emotion. I hope you’ll listen to it. If you are feeling overwhelmed, it will help. I truly believe that. May we trust in wonder. And look to the stars.”
On November 17, we will listen to a current second sermon by Bass, to be determined, but there is no question it will be excellent, compelling, and delivered by a master speaker.
