Klondike Kids Club @Work and @Play
The pictures which appear in the Prevue this month are made possible by the generous gifts of financial support, volunteer time, and the prayers of the faith family which calls FUMC home. Because of you, the children attending Klondike Kids Club are fed, nurtured, tutored and given the opportunity to discover more about themselves and their gifts.  They also have the opportunity to learn about more their community and what it offers, by taking field trips.  If you would like to participate in a more active way, don’t hesitate to contact Pastor Denny Frank to learn more at 765-714-1149.

Feed the Kids: Helping to relieve food insecurity.
This school year Feed the Kids is providing food, each weekend, for 33 children. Without the faithful volunteers, who each week provide financial support, set out food, pack tote bags, and transport the tote bags to Edgelea Elementary and Klondike Kids Club: these children would face food insecurity during the weekend, when school is not in session. With the loving help of Hands @ Work, these kids receive a small treat bag for each holiday during the school year.  Helpers are always welcome, contact either the church office or Pastor Denny Frank at 765-714-1149 to learn more.

Coder’s Closet: Providing sneakers, clothing, and school supplies for those in need.
Coder’s Closet is located at Klondike Elementary School. There are many families with children attending Klondike Elementary who have found themselves able to provide for their children as they would like.  When referred by a teacher, staff member or requested by a parent, children are taken to the Closet and helped to pick out the necessary items. These items are placed in a shopping bag which is taken home at the end of the day. With the cold winds of winter fast approaching, Coder’s Closet is in needs of athletic pants and hoodies for boys in sizes Medium, Large, & Extra-Large. Girl’s hoodies and jeggings in sizes Medium, Large and Extra-Large are also needed.  All items may be placed in the Klondike Hope Chest by the doors to the sanctuary.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS HEART.

Card Ministry
Our Care and Nurture group is blessed to have Carol Smith working with them. She designs and makes beautiful cards that get sent out to several older adults. But making these cards takes time (which Carol donates) and supplies (which can be expensive). So please consider making a donation to help cover those costs. Your checks can be made out to “FUMC” with “card ministry” on the memo line.
