The Lucille Raines Residence (LRR) is a facility owned and operated by United Women in Faith of Indiana. Located in downtown Indianapolis since 1977, it houses up to 49 individuals recovering from alcohol and drug addiction.  LRR’s 12-step recovery process and meetings help residents rebuild their lives and relationship with God.  LRR offers a safe, clean and sober environment for residents, and the opportunity to work on a “self-help” program.

In need of a new elevator, the residence has launched the “Love Lifted Me” campaign.  Any financial contributions that your family can commit to the campaign will help bring the elevator construction closer to completion.  To help encourage our members to participate, one of our church families has issued a gift challenge, where they will match the largest single donation, up to $500, given by another First Church family.

Church members’ support of any amount is important to help this United Women in Faith effort. Our goal is to present a check to United Women in Faith of Indiana when its President, Kathie Clemenz, comes to speak to the church on Thankful Sunday, November 20, 2022.

Please prayerfully consider this gift challenge.  Please notify the church office of your desire to support the Lucille Raines “Love Lifted Me” campaign.
