Diana Hoke will be selling Easter centerpiece-gift creations between the 9 am and 11 am services on Palm Sunday, April 2 as a fundraiser for our FUMC mission, Tippecanoe ACTS.

Each 5″x4″ Butterfly Box contains three homemade, hand-decorated sugar cookies (one large Easter egg and two smaller springtime shapes such as butterflies or tulips.) A little bag of other treats completes the goodies inside.

Outside, the box represents the Resurrection of Christ through the metamorphosis of a butterfly along with a symbolic journey–one that appears to end with the death of the caterpillar but miraculously begins again with its transformative rebirth as the beautiful butterfly. Each box sits atop an accompanying figurative sidewalk, a nod to one of our Lenten themes this year, Where the Sidewalk Endsand then begins again.

The cost of each Butterfly Box is $10. Please write any checks to “FUMC” and put ACTS Mission on the memo line. Cash will be accepted too. First come, first serve!
